SERVICE ALERT | 08-03-2023
Belgium – Strike 10th of March 2023
We would like to inform you that on the 10th of March a national strike will take place in all sectors in Belgium. The 24-hour strike will start on Thursday 09/03 at 22.00 CEST till Friday 10/03 – 22:00.
This industrial action will likely affect mainly mail and parcels deliveries in Belgium but could possibly also affect the processing and departure in our international hub. We will do our utmost to minimize the impact on our service.
Greece – Strike 8th of March 2023
The Association of the Civil Servants have announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday March the 8th. This action will affect both international and domestic mail collection and delivery.
France – Strike 7th of March 2023
General and national strike across different sectors might result in delays of the delivery of mail and parcels.
Turkey – Earthquakes
Delays in mail and parcel delivery expected in aftermath of earthquakes early February.

As a result, the Turkish government has declared a state of emergency with effect from 8 February 2023. This will have a major impact on operations and, consequently, on quality of service for all types of inbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items). As a result, service delivery standards cannot be guaranteed and delays are likely in the affected areas.

We would like to inform you that the major Belgian unions have called a 24-hour strike at Bpost, commencing at 22.00 CEST on 27 February 2023.
This industrial action will likely affect mainly mail and parcels deliveries in Belgium.
We will do our utmost to minimize the impact for our international customers shipping to non-Belgian destinations.

This strike action might cause delays in the processing and delivery of your letters and parcels.

Germany – Strike action Deutsche Post 07/02 & 08/02
The German labor union Verdi called on Deutsche Post employees to strike on February 7 and 8. This strike action might cause delays in the processing and delivery of your letters and parcels.
France – Nationwide general strike 07/02 & 08/02
Due to renewed strikes on February 7 and 8 across several sectors, including transport, delays are possible in the processing and delivery of your letters and parcels. It’s the third nationwide strike after January 19 and 31 since the government presented plans last month to raise the pension age.
